Provider Bond - Installation Made Easy Inc (IME) in All States
Table of Contents
Brief Summary
IME does not issue this bond. It requires it. If you are signing on as an installation provider for one of IME's retailer programs, the bond goes into your compliance file next to your licenses and insurance, and leads are not assigned until that file is complete.
Installation Made Easy, Inc. (IME) coordinates home improvement installations for retailers using local independent contractors, which IME calls providers. IME is the obligee on this Provider bond, and the contractor is the principal. IME does not publish the bond amount or form online, so get both from IME before the bond is issued.

Detailed Information About the All States Provider Bond:
How the IME provider program works
Installation Made Easy, Inc., based in Dawsonville, Georgia, sets up installation programs for retailers and manufacturers. Products such as flooring are sold through the retailer, and IME hands the installation to a local independent provider. IME says it is not the general contractor on those jobs, though it holds contractor licenses or registrations in several states.
Contractors join by completing IME's Provider Questionnaire. It asks for the states and counties you cover, your license number in each, the products you install, and your insurance.
What the bond does
The Provider bond gives IME a financial guarantee that you will perform your installations and meet your obligations under the IME provider agreement. If a provider fails to do so, IME can make a claim against the bond, and the provider must repay the surety for any claim it pays.
The insurance questions are separate
The questionnaire asks whether you carry general liability of at least $1 million, automobile liability of at least $500,000, and workers' compensation. The bond does not satisfy any of those. You need both.
Ongoing compliance
IME's compliance team checks licenses by state, county and city, the insurance each retailer requires, and criminal background checks for crew members. It keeps monitoring after onboarding and stops assigning leads when a license lapses. Keep the bond in force for the same reason.
Amount and premium
IME does not post the required amount. Ask your IME onboarding contact for the figure and any prescribed form. The surety prices the premium from that amount and the owner's credit and business history.
